Unlike many other dental scrap refiners, we take the time and effort needed to extract the highest amount of precious metal from scrap. Many refiners melt scrap at the highest possible temperature to save some time, but this means they may lose gold and silver. Those metals melt at lower temperatures than platinum and palladium, meaning they can be burned away completely without careful control of the heat. Our precious metal refining process uses a variable-temperature flame that provides a much greater degree of control and allows us to preserve more of the precious metals that make up dental scrap.

Our precious metal dental scrap sampling process also uses pin tube testing while the dental scrap is in its molten state, followed by fire assay with ICP and atomic absorption technology. This means Core Scientific gets the most accurate assessment of how much precious metal dental scrap contains, so we can provide dental offices with payouts that represent the true value of the materials.
